 Sumipol Institute of Manufacturing Technology (SIMTEC) welcomed personnel from the Digital Economy Promotion Agency (depa) for the Supply Chain Study and Development of the Digital Input-Output Table project.

On Thursday, 7 May 2026, the Sumipol Institute of Manufacturing Technology (SIMTEC) welcomed personnel from the Digital Economy and Society Commission under the Supply Chain Study and Development of the Digital Input-Output Table project.

The objective of this project is to study the overall structure of goods and service production within the digital economy system based on the country’s Input-Output Table framework. The findings will support policy planning and strategic development for Thailand’s digital economy and society. The project also aims to analyze the status, trends, and competitiveness of the digital industry, including approaches to research and innovation development, as well as to collect data throughout the digital industry supply chain. The collected information will be utilized to improve the Digital Input-Output Table and develop a Macro Economic Model.

During the visit, the delegation also toured the Learning Factory Technology Center, which focuses on enhancing practical skills and preparing the workforce for the industrial sector. The hands-on simulation of real industrial operations provided participants with a clearer understanding of manufacturing processes and industrial systems.
