Sumipol Manufacturing Technology Institute (SIMTEC) warmly welcomed representatives from the Department of Industrial Promotion (DIPROM) and consultants from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) on the occasion of a discussion meeting and progress review regarding the potential development of collaborative training programs under the Smart Factory training initiative for SMEs in Thailand.
The discussion focused on the exchange of perspectives, ideas, and approaches for designing and developing training curricula that align with the context of Thailand’s industrial sector. The objective is to support and enhance the capabilities of Thai SMEs in their transition toward smart factories in a concrete and sustainable manner.
In addition, the delegation from DIPROM and JICA visited SIMTEC’s Learning Factory, a hands-on learning facility that simulates a real industrial factory environment. The visit aimed to strengthen understanding of modern manufacturing technologies, automation systems, and the practical application of Smart Manufacturing concepts within the industrial sector.
