Kasetsart University, Visits the Sumipol Institute of Manufacturing Technology (SIMTEC)
Tuesday, 10 March 2026, the Sumipol Institute of Manufacturing Technology (SIMTEC) welcomed lecturers and students from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Kasetsart University, totaling 75 participants, for a study visit.
The objective of this visit was to provide students with knowledge and understanding of equipment operation systems and manufacturing processes through the application of modern digital technologies. The activity also aimed to strengthen students’ unders tanding of the essential skills required in an era where technology plays a crucial role across all industries.
During the visit, the students learned about real manufacturing processes, quality control systems, production planning, and modern factory management approaches through advanced technologies at the Learning Factory technology learning center, which connects theoretical knowledge with real industrial applications.
This activity focused on enhancing learning experiences beyond the classroom and deepening students’ understanding of the essential skills required in a technology-driven era. It also aims to prepare students to become an important workforce contributing to the future development of Thailand’s industrial sector.
