Kasetsart University, Kamphaeng Saen Campus Visits the Sumipol Institute of Manufacturing Technology (SIMTEC)
On Friday, March 6, 2026, the Sumipol Institute of Manufacturing Technology (SIMTEC) welcomed a group of 62 lecturers and students from the Department of Industrial Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Kasetsart University, Kamphaeng Saen Campus, for an educational study visit.
The objective of this visit was to provide students with knowledge and hands-on experience in digital technologies through exposure to modern industrial technologies, while enhancing their understanding of the essential skills required in an era where technology plays a critical role across industries.
During the visit, students had the opportunity to learn about real manufacturing processes, quality control systems, production planning, and factory management approaches within a modern industrial environment. The activities were conducted at the Learning Factory, a technology learning center designed to bridge theoretical knowledge with practical applications in real industrial settings.
This activity aimed to enrich students’ learning experiences beyond the classroom and strengthen their understanding of the skills required for future careers in the technology-driven industrial landscape. Such experiences help prepare students to become an important driving force for Thailand’s industrial development in the future.
