The participants of the Executive Development Program for Private Vocational Education Administrators (NBSA-PV), Cohort 3, visited the Sumipol Institute of Manufacturing Technology for a study tour.
On Wednesday, April 1, 2026, the Sumipol Institute of Manufacturing Technology (SIMTEC) welcomed a delegation of civil servants, teachers, and educational personnel from the Office of the Vocational Education Commission, led by the Bureau of Teacher and Vocational Personnel Competency Development. The visitors were participants in the Executive Development Program for Private Vocational Education Administrators (NBSA-PV), Cohort 3.
The visit was organized as part of a study tour and engagement activities, aimed at enabling participants to learn, exchange experiences, and broaden their perspectives on organizational management in an era of rapid industrial transformation.
The objective of this study visit was to exchange insights on organizational management and training program development to better align with industry needs in a time of fast-evolving technologies. It also focused on approaches to curriculum design based on industry demand, as well as methods for monitoring and evaluating learning outcomes. Emphasis was placed on the practical application of knowledge to enhance organizational competitiveness in terms of efficiency, cost, safety, and adaptability to future changes.
During the visit, participants also toured the Learning Factory, a technology-driven learning center that emphasizes hands-on skill development to prepare the industrial workforce.
In addition, the delegation engaged in discussions and exchanged ideas with SIMTEC on collaborative approaches to becoming a hub for workforce development in manufacturing—bridging the gap between industry and education. This interaction provided a valuable opportunity to build collaborative networks and further develop knowledge to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of vocational education management in the future.
