A photo recap of the training course “Green Transformation for Next-Generation Factory Leaders,” designed to offer industrial personnel hands-on learning through the SEEN – LEAN – GREEN – CLEAN approach. The course bridges concepts ranging from Industrial IoT and manufacturing process visibility to Lean, Energy Management, Carbon Footprint, and organizational Green Transformation planning.
Throughout the 4-day training, participants engaged in both classroom activities and hands-on sessions at the Learning Factory. Through real equipment experiments, data analysis, site surveys, and workshops, participants effectively connected theoretical knowledge to practical, real-world manufacturing scenarios.
Day 1 | SEEN — Gaining Visibility into Factory Data and Issues The journey began with an introduction to applying Industrial IoT to visualize manufacturing, energy, and carbon footprint data. Participants experimented with real IoT devices, practiced building dashboards, and analyzed data from a simulated production process to identify losses—demonstrating how data can empower decision-making and pinpoint factory problems.






Day 2 | LEAN — Boosting Productivity, Reducing Waste, and Eliminating Energy Loss
Building on data visibility, participants progressed to identifying and reducing manufacturing losses using Lean principles, the 16 Big Losses, TPM, Energy Efficiency, Energy Flow, and OEE.
A key highlight was the hands-on Compressed Air Leakage Detection and Machine Loss Identification Workshop using real machinery. Featuring a Before vs. After analysis, the session enabled participants to clearly visualize the direct link between production efficiency, energy consumption, and carbon footprints.

On Day 3, participants dove into CFO (Carbon Footprint of Organization), CFP (Carbon Footprint of Product), LCA (Life Cycle Assessment), and Carbon Labeling, as well as strategies for identifying greenhouse gas (GHG) emission sources across manufacturing processes.
Highlights included a Gemba Walk to inspect real site areas for Energy Hotspots, alongside workshops focused on identifying GHG emission sources and calculating CFP using factory case studies. This hands-on approach enabled participants to systematically integrate energy management with carbon footprint administration.






Day 4 | CLEAN — From Knowledge to GX Roadmap
The final day concluded with an exploration of carbon credit mechanisms—including Premium T-VER and JCM—alongside Carbon Reduction Playbooks derived from case studies.
Participants synthesized their learnings from all four days through a hands-on GX Roadmap Design Workshop. Taking on the role of corporate leaders, they simulated investment decisions aimed at reducing carbon footprints and established actionable pathways for future Green Transformation Projects within their organizations.

Throughout the course, the vibrant atmosphere highlighted a hands-on training approach—allowing participants to learn, experiment, analyze, exchange ideas, and solve problems based on real-world industrial scenarios.
Moving from SEEN → LEAN → GREEN → CLEAN, participants did not view topics in isolation; instead, they experienced a connected journey from data visualization and loss detection to energy efficiency, carbon footprint management, and organizational GX planning.
