Faculty and Exchange Students from ECAM LaSalle Visit Sumipol Institute of Manufacturing Technology (SIMTEC
On October 31, 2025, a delegation of faculty members and exchange students from ECAM LaSalle, Faculty of Engineering, Kasetsart University Sriracha Campus, visited Sumipol Institute of Manufacturing Technology (SIMTEC) to study the facilities and exchange knowledge on manufacturing and technology management.
During this visit, the faculty and students attended a lecture on the concept of Lean Transformation, which covers improving production processes for efficiency, reducing waste, and adding value to products and the organization. The lecture also focused on practical methods for applying the Lean concept in a real production environment, from process analysis, time and resource management, improving work quality, to creating an organizational culture focused on continuous learning and development. They also toured the Learning Factory to observe actual production processes and technologies, and exchanged ideas with SIMTEC instructors.
