AOTS and the AOTS Alumni Association Visit SIMTEC to Promote Collaboration in Industrial Human Resource Development

On 15 January 2026, the Sumi-Pol Institute of Manufacturing Technology (SIMTEC) welcomed a delegation of executives from the Association for Overseas Technical Cooperation and Sustainable Partnerships (AOTS), together with representatives from the AOTS Alumni Association Thailand, for a visit and an overview presentation on the institute’s operations.

Over the years, SIMTEC has continuously received cooperation and support from AOTS through various projects, which have played a significant role in enhancing human resource capabilities and strengthening the competitiveness of Thailand’s industrial sector. AOTS and the AOTS Alumni Association share a common vision of serving as a bridge to expand collaboration and introduce partner organizations to one another, leading to the expansion of human resource development networks within the industrial sector both in Thailand and internationally.

On this occasion, the committee members of the AOTS Alumni Association Thailand attended an introductory briefing on SIMTEC, followed by a tour of the institute’s training facilities and infrastructure, including the Learning Factory, advanced manufacturing technology learning systems, and the IoT Studio. The visit provided valuable information to support consideration of future collaborative initiatives.

This visit marks another important step in strengthening cooperation on industrial human resource development between Thai and Japanese organizations, with a shared goal of supporting Thailand’s manufacturing sector in its sustainable transition toward the era of smart industry.
