On May 20, 2026, the Sumipol Institute of Manufacturing Technology (SIMTEC) had the honor of welcoming executives and faculty members from the Faculty of Engineering, Kasetsart University Sriracha Campus, for a visit and collaborative discussion on academic and research cooperation in digital transformation for manufacturing systems between educational sectors in France and Thailand. The collaboration aims to enhance educational capabilities and modern manufacturing industries under the concept of applying digital technologies to elevate Thailand’s industrial sector to an international level.
On this occasion, SIMTEC was honored by the presence of Mr. Didier Desplanche, Directeur General Rector, and Ms. Severine Delavernhe, Directrice ECAM LaSalle, Campus de Lyon / Director of ECAM LaSalle Lyon Campus from France, together with Associate Professor Dr. Nattapol Chanpanich, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Kasetsart University Sriracha Campus. The delegation visited SIMTEC and exchanged ideas on curriculum development, research collaboration, and strengthening partnerships between educational institutions and the industrial sector.
In addition, the executives and faculty members toured SIMTEC’s learning facilities, laboratories, and manufacturing technologies to exchange perspectives on practical learning management and future joint curriculum development. This collaboration is expected to create greater opportunities in education, research, and workforce development, ensuring that future professionals are equipped with skills aligned with the evolving needs of industry.
