Sumipol Institute of Manufacturing Technology (SIMTEC) welcomed a group of lecturers and students from the Bachelor of Engineering Program in Digital Manufacturing Systems Engineering, Kasetsart University, Si Racha Campus, to provide students with the opportunity to experience digital manufacturing systems in a leading industrial factory.
On Thursday, October 2, 2025, from 09:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Sumipol Institute of Manufacturing Technology (SIMTEC) hosted lecturers and first-year students of the Digital Manufacturing Systems Engineering major, Faculty of Engineering Si Racha, Kasetsart University, Si Racha Campus.
The objective of this visit was to enhance the learning experience of digital manufacturing processes in an industrial factory, which will help promote and drive students to gain a deeper understanding of the curriculum content.
The visiting group toured the Learning Factory, which is a practical training center for developing the industrial workforce. Students learned about and experienced advanced manufacturing technology through a training approach that emphasizes practical hands-on application to build the necessary skills for the Industry 4.0 era.
Furthermore, they were honored with a special lecture by Mr. Chairat Banthao-took, Academic Manager and Acting Operation Manager of SIMTEC, who shared experiences and perspectives on the transformation in the manufacturing sector, connecting the importance of and integrating digital technology into manufacturing processes to prepare the workforce in line with the demands of the future job market.
