Sumipol Institute of Manufacturing Technology (SIMTEC) welcomed students and lecturers from the Lean Robotics and Automation Engineering program, Thai-Nichi Institute of Technology (TNI), for a site visit to enhance their direct experience in the modern manufacturing industry.
On Wednesday, October 1, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Sumipol Institute of Manufacturing Technology (SIMTEC) hosted first-year students of the Robotics Engineering major, along with supervising lecturers, from the Lean Robotics and Automation Engineering program, Faculty of Engineering, Thai-Nichi Institute of Technology. The objective was to provide students with an opportunity to learn about the actual work processes in the modern manufacturing industry.

This visit is part of promoting learning that aligns with the curriculum, which focuses on creating inspiration and hands-on experience in developing skills in robotics and automation engineering that will be beneficial for their future studies and work

The group visited the Learning Factory, which is the core of SIMTEC’s practical training.

The Learning Factory is designed to develop the industrial workforce to be able to cope with technological changes and elevate the competitiveness of the Thai manufacturing sector in the future. Students were exposed to manufacturing technology, witnessed the operation of tools and automated systems used in the industry, and learned about the training approach that emphasizes practical hands-on experience to build the necessary skills for the Industry 4.0 era.
