SIMTEC Welcomes MEA Delegation for the “WISE 3 Innovation Incubation Program”
On September 9, 2025, the Sumpun Institute of Manufacturing Technology (SIMTEC) had the honor of welcoming executives and staff from the Metropolitan Electricity Authority (MEA) as part of the “MEA WISE 3 Innovation Incubation Program”, under the theme Energy Transformation. The program aims to foster innovation and new business models that will enhance MEA’s capabilities and competitiveness in the energy sector.
The event began with opening remarks on the program’s objectives by Mr. Chukeat Yangyuenbangchan, Assistant Governor of MEA. This was followed by a warm welcome and keynote introduction by Mr. Chairat Bantooktook, Academic Manager and Acting Operations Manager of SIMTEC. In his presentation, he highlighted SIMTEC’s history, mission, vision, and its vital role in advancing workforce skills in manufacturing technology, supporting systematic energy use, and contributing to carbon reduction.
The highlight of the visit was a guided tour of SIMTEC’s Learning Factory, showcasing cutting-edge automated production processes and advanced industrial technologies. This immersive experience allowed participants to explore real applications of industrial manufacturing and energy technologies.
The event concluded with closing remarks by Mr. Chairat Bantooktook, reaffirming the commitment between MEA and SIMTEC to collaboratively develop innovations and skilled professionals for the future of Thailand’s energy industry.
