Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO Bangkok) Visits Sumipol Institute of Manufacturing Technology (SIMTEC)


On Tuesday, September 30, 2025, from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM, the Sumipol Institute of Manufacturing Technology (SIMTEC) welcomed Mr. Yasushi Ueki, Chief of Research at JETRO Bangkok, together with the working group for the promotion of Digital Transformation (DX Services) from Japan. The visit aimed to exchange experiences and perspectives to foster collaboration and advance research in the digital industry in the future.


The purpose of this visit was to tour the institute’s premises and facilities, as well as to receive information about SIMTEC’s training courses. Furthermore, it aimed to facilitate discussions and strengthen understanding of the challenges currently faced by Thai companies, while leveraging the insights and expertise gained from SIMTEC’s operations as a foundation for mutual learning and exchange


During the visit, the delegation was briefed on the institute’s objectives and operational goals, and toured the Learning Factory—a practical training center for developing industrial manpower to adapt to technological changes and enhance the competitiveness of Thailand’s manufacturing sector in the future.
