Business Administration Program (Logistics Management), Faculty of Management Sciences, Chiang Rai Rajabhat University Visits the Sumipol Institute of Manufacturing Technology (SIMTEC)

On Wednesday, 11 March 2026, Sumipol Manufacturing Technology Institute (SIMTEC) welcomed a group of lecturers and students from the Business Administration Program (Logistics Management), Faculty of Management Sciences, Chiang Rai Rajabhat University, totaling 31 participants, for a study visit.

The objective of this visit was to provide students with insights into the application of Internet of Things (IoT) technology in logistics management, as well as the integration of digital technologies to enhance operational efficiency within the transportation and logistics industry.

During the program, participants attended a lecture on the role of technology in the Industry 4.0 era. They also had the opportunity to tour SIMTEC’s learning facilities, including the Learning Factory, a technology-based training center designed to emphasize hands-on learning and practical skill development for the future industrial workforce.

This study visit served as a valuable opportunity for students to gain learning experiences beyond the classroom while developing a deeper understanding of how advanced technologies can be applied in logistics management and industrial production processes within the transportation sector. Such experiences help prepare the next generation of industry professionals in an era where industry and technology continue to evolve rapidly.
